Bahrain's Women in Tech Accelerator Selects 10 Female-Led Startups for 6th Cohort
Standard Chartered, in partnership with Bahrain FinTech Bay, has announced the selection of ten promising female-led startups to join the sixth cohort of the Futuremakers Women in Tech Bahrain programme. The initiative is designed to equip Bahraini women with the tools, networks, and mentorship.
A Powerhouse of Strategic Partners
The program is part of Standard Chartered's global Futuremakers Women in Tech Initiative and is backed by a powerful group of strategic partners in Bahrain. These include Tamkeen, the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Investment and Technology Promotion Office (UNIDO ITPO Bahrain), and Innovate for Bahrain. This strong collaboration underscores a unified national commitment to fostering a more inclusive and innovative tech ecosystem.
A Diverse Cohort Driving Innovation
Following a competitive application and evaluation process, ten founders were selected based on the strength of their ideas and their potential to scale. The selected startups span a wide range of industries, including agritech, information technology, e-learning, fintech, marketing automation, and healthtech. The selected companies are: Tamam Technology, Engine, TallSaleem, HealthTech, Wajba, Goodies, Food & Beverage Marketplace, Nabri, Architecture, Real Estate, and Industrial Engineering, AGRI AI, AgriTech, Voxa, Sadeed Technology, and Planway.
The Accelerator Journey
Over the next eight weeks, these female entrepreneurs will undergo a curated acceleration journey featuring expert-led workshops, one-on-one mentorship, and pitch development sessions. The program will also connect them with ecosystem leaders and past alumni, fostering a strong network of support. The program will conclude with a Demo Day, where participants will pitch to a judging panel to receive financial awards and three months' access to a co-working space.
