BuildPalestine Kicks Off 6-Month "Root Program" for Social Entrepreneurs
BuildPalestine has launched the first session of its "Root Program" (برنامج الجذور), a six-month journey designed to support fellows in defining the vision and mission for their social enterprises. The kickoff, which took place on or around May 6, 2025, marks the beginning of a transformative experience aimed at fostering impactful change for Palestinian changemakers.
Root Program Embarks on 6-Month Journey
The Root Program, a key fellowship initiative by BuildPalestine, officially commenced its six-month intensive journey with an inspiring kickoff session. This program is tailored for early-stage Palestinian social enterprises that have an existing product, service, or prototype and are in the phase of refining their business models and expanding their teams.
Kickoff Focus: Defining Vision and Mission
The inaugural session, held on May 6, 2025, centered on the crucial first steps for any social enterprise: defining a clear vision and mission. Fellows engaged in exercises and discussions to explore the core purpose and strategic direction of their ventures. This foundational work aims to set a solid stage for the impactful change each social enterprise hopes to achieve within Palestinian communities.
Empowering Social Enterprises for Impact
The broader goal of the Root Program is to empower these selected social entrepreneurs by providing a structured curriculum that includes live workshops, one-on-one coaching, and culminates in a demo pitching day. Participants receive mentorship, resources, and access to a resourceful network to help them realize their visions and build sustainable, impactful solutions.
