Gulf University Spotlights Bahraini Women Entrepreneurs During Entrepreneurship Week
As part of its ongoing "Entrepreneurship Week," Gulf University (GU) in Bahrain dedicated a day last Wednesday to celebrating Bahraini women under the theme "Women in Entrepreneurship: Jewels of Leadership." The event brought together prominent female entrepreneurs and inspiring graduates to share their experiences and insights.

Dana Al Zayani, a member of Bahrain's Supreme Council for Women, delivered a lecture emphasizing the importance of empowering women in business and supporting them throughout their entrepreneurial journey. She praised GU for highlighting inspiring role models.
Successful Bahraini entrepreneurs shared their experiences, including GU graduate Alaa Abdullah, founder of Fattan Jewellery, and Amal Al Majid, founder of Amal Al Majid Jewellery. They discussed their paths in establishing distinctive brands in the competitive jewellery sector.

Professor Mona Al-Zayani, Chairperson of GU's Board of Directors and Board of Trustees, reiterated the university's commitment to supporting Bahraini women. "At Gulf University, we believe that women's entrepreneurship is not an option, but a necessity for building a comprehensive and sustainable knowledge economy," she stated, emphasizing the investment in young talents as an investment in the nation's future.

The event also included a practical workshop titled "Shine with Excellence," led by the participating entrepreneurs. This session focused on teaching the basics of jewellery design, aiming to enhance the artistic and innovative sense among students. Fatima Shuwaikh, Director of GU's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, expressed pride in providing an interactive platform for successful women to share their stories and motivate ambitious students.
