Sanad Alshabab Initiative Opens Applications for Community Projects in Syria
An initiative in Syria, promoted under banners such as Sanad Alshabab (Youth Support/Empowerment) and The Youth program (برنامج الشباب), and supported by UNFPA Syria, has launched a call for applications. Young people in Damascus, Aleppo, and Hama are invited to transform their ideas into realistic and sustainable initiatives that contribute to community development and foster active youth participation.
Empowering Youth for Community Development in Syria
The program aims to support and incubate youth-led initiatives, helping them on the beginning of the road to change. It encourages young Syrians to become proactive agents of development within their communities. The initiative seeks to enable youth participation in sustainable community development by helping them turn their ideas into impactful projects that address societal challenges.

Digital Transformation & Technology
Academic Field
Business & SMEs (including entrepreneurship and small enterprises)
Medical & Health Field
Environmental Field
Cultural & Knowledge Field
Who Can Apply?
Teams wishing to apply should meet the following conditions:
The initiative must be youth-led and non-profit.
Teams must consist of at least 3 members.
Applicants must have a presence and plan to implement their initiative in Damascus, Aleppo, or Hama.
The initiative must have a clear message and vision.
The primary goal must be community development.
Teams must be able to present a clear proposal and a timeline for their activities.
Application Details and Deadline
The deadline for submissions is May 20, 2025. Following the deadline, a filtering process will take place, and accepted initiatives will be contacted.
