Syria Boosts Tech Ecosystem with Nahda Tech Conference & "Hudhud" Export Platform Launch
The Syrian Computer Society (SCS), in cooperation with the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, recently kicked off the Nahda Tech Conference at Damascus University. The event serves as a platform for launching new technology initiatives, including the "Hudhud" digital platform for exports, and aims to advance digital transformation efforts in Syria.
Nahda Tech Conference Kicks Off in Damascus
The Nahda Tech Conference convened at the Reda Saeed Hall at Damascus University, bringing together entrepreneurs, startups, trainers, and digital technology specialists. Organized by the Syrian Computer Society in collaboration with the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, the two-day conference is set to benefit approximately 500 individuals, with 120 participating directly in training activities. The primary goal is to contribute to Syria's digital transformation and support its burgeoning technology initiatives.
"Hudhud" Platform Launched to Promote Syrian Exports Globally
A key announcement at the conference was the launch of the “Hudhud” platform by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdul Salam Heikal. Hudhud is a Syrian digital platform specifically designed to facilitate the export of local products to foreign markets. This initiative aims to bolster the national economy and significantly enhance the global digital presence of Syrian products.
Entrepreneurship Training Camp to Nurture Startups
The Nahda Tech Conference also features the launch of an intensive training camp focused on various aspects of entrepreneurship and startup organization. The camp is structured in two parts:
Theoretical Component: Focusing on essential skills like project management and creating effective organizational structures for market entry.
Practical Component: Relying on training programs specifically designed for emerging IT projects, conducted in four laboratories at the Syrian Computer Society’s building.
